Wood graining an old schoolhouse. We recently finished a large wood graining job re-finishing all the woodwork in a 19th century building that was originally a schoolhouse. The architect wanted woodgraining done the old-fashioned way- with beer and linseed oil. The stripped wood was pretty rough so the graining on the wainscoting and trim had to be pretty rudimentary. The door were smooth so I could at least do some simple heart graining on the panels.
